Inspiring the next generation

We inspire young people to take positive action to protect the natural world and ensure a sustainable future for all.

Young people today will inherit a world shaped by our actions over the next decade, and we believe that the engagement of young citizens in environmental issues is key to a sustainable future for all.

Through our hands-on education programmes, we work with teachers and students to inspire the next generation. Now is the perfect time to engage your students with nature, helping them to understand their impact on the environment and what actions they can take to protect the natural world.

Discover Earth

Sign up for our free, fully-funded training and engagement programmes for teachers and schools. Our Discover Earth Hub Day is an engaging CPD training opportunity offering the tools and resources which make it easy for all teachers and educators to take science learning outside and enable their students to participate in valuable citizen science. The training and resources will work across the curriculum and connect to the wider world through the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Our Discover Earth Roadshows offer whole school engagement through an assembly and up to four classes through the day. Let by our expert team, the roadshows are designed to get students and their teachers outside the classroom and hands-on with a range of our citizen science projects.

Teach Earth

On our educator training weekend, you’ll learn about outdoor experiments through citizen science. The training aims to improve teacher confidence in outdoor learning through structured and robust real-science activities which you can share with your students. It provides a tangible link between science, nature and the environment by increasing awareness and knowledge of local and global environmental issues. Our free take-home materials, kits and lesson plans on science projects and the UN Sustainable Development Goals fit easily into the national curriculum.
