Teach Earth: From Source to Sea: a fantastic weekend of learning and collaboration
Last weekend, we were lucky enough to welcome a fantastic group of educators to the Gower Peninsula for our first Teach Earth: From Source to Sea residential training course, which we delivered in partnership with our friends at Surfers Against Sewage.
Over the weekend, participants took part in outdoor learning activities and explored the environmental challenges that are affecting our rivers, coasts and oceans. The focus of the weekend was supporting educators to bring these topics to life and engage the young people they work with. It was an opportunity to learn from experts and connect with fellow educators, all whilst spending time experiencing and enjoying the natural world.

The feedback was really positive, with participants describing the weekend as ‘inspiring,’ ‘practical,’ ‘fun’ and ‘motivating.’ Participants all felt that they left feeling more confident about teaching environmental topics and helping young people take action for nature.
We’re delighted that this first residential was such a success and particularly pleased to be working alongside Surfers Against Sewage. Partnerships like this are vital in helping us connect people with environmental issues and support educators to inspire the next generation of environmental changemakers.
