Thank you to Bouygues UK for supporting greener, healthier schools
We’re delighted to be working with Bouygues UK, with support from the Bouygues Construction Foundation, to help create greener, healthier school environments for children in London.
Through our Green Earth Schools programme, pupils and teachers work with Earthwatch Europe to transform school grounds into greener, nature-rich spaces for learning and play. The children get to choose their own spaces. Edible gardens, hedgerows, ponds, living walls, Tiny Forests and all these spaces give children more opportunities to experience nature as part of everyday school life.
The programme also supports teachers with training and resources, helping bring environmental learning outdoors and giving pupils the chance to explore biodiversity, sustainability and nature-based solutions through hands-on activities.
We’re incredibly grateful to Bouygues UK and the Bouygues Construction Foundation for helping make this work possible. Their support will help more children connect with nature, learn about their environment and play an active role in creating greener spaces for their communities.
Hannah Marshall, Head of Fundraising, Earthwatch Europe explained: “I’m so pleased we are working with Bouygues UK and the Bouygues Construction Foundation, helping bring nature closer to children who might not otherwise have easy access to it. There’s something really special about giving pupils the chance to shape their own school environment and then seeing them learn, play and grow alongside it. We’re hugely grateful to the team at Bouygues for believing in this work and helping us make it happen.”
