Wild Days

We created Wild Days to help you stay positive, by encouraging your kids to go wild while your outdoor options are limited.

What is Wild Days?

Every day we’ll be publishing a set of structured activities and video content to guide you through around an hour of outdoor learning that you can do in your own green space (in line with government guidance!). Each daily edition has been created for children aged 4-11 by our scientists and outdoor learning experts, to help you utilise the greatest learning resource out there: nature.

"Wild Days will help children interact with nature and learn about the natural world. Even the edges of windowsills hold tiny little eco-systems, so there is nature to be found everywhere." - Nick Baker, naturalist, author and broadcaster.

Ways to get Wild

Wild Days Poetry competition

Our Wild Days Poetry Competition is now closed and the judging has started. We will be in touch soon with the results!

Entries will be judged by the charity’s four ambassadors, TV presenters Michaela Strachan and Nick Baker, plus Mya-Rose Craig, the world’s top teen birder, and 17-year-old conservationist Bella Lack.

Prizes will include signed copies of books by Michaela and Nick, as well as teen authors Dara McAnulty and Alex Wise, plus wildlife ID guides, wildflower seed packets and mini-nature kits.
