A unique and personalised gift for nature lovers

Are you looking for a unique and personalised gift for the nature lovers and eco warriors in your life? Champion a tree with Tiny Forest and give a meaningful gift that makes a positive difference for nature.

Gift a tree

‘Treet’ your loved ones to a tree-mendous gift like no other. By championing a tree with Tiny Forest, you can give a unique and personalised gift that is as unique as they are. Why not sponsor a tree for your friends and family?

Each tree sponsorship with Earthwatch helps to fund a forest. Bringing wild spaces to the urban communities that need them most.

What does champion a tree include?

Each tree is only sponsored once. You can also make your tree sponsorship special by picking the location of the Tiny Forest and adding a personal message.

With over 200 Tiny Forests across the UK, it’s likely there’s a forest in a location that’s important to your gift recipient. A personalised certificate will be created which can be sent to them by email or by post. They will be able to visit the Tiny Forest where their tree was championed.

Choose your tree species

Every Tiny Forest is made up of a mix of native tree species. You can choose which species you would like to champion. Perhaps a hazel for Hazel? Or a rowan for Rowan? Whatever you choose, it will be unique. Here’s some of our most common tree species that you can choose from:

  • Silver Birch – they are easily recognised by their striking white, papery bark. They produce catkins in spring which turn yellow with pollen.
  • Sessile Oak – similar to the English oak, this is a tree that can live for centuries. It provides a home for hundreds of wild species.
  • Hornbeam – a tall tree often found in ancient woodlands (and brand-new ones like Tiny Forest!). Its large catkins appear in spring, and its winged seeds are dispersed by the wind in autumn.
  • Blackthorn – early to blossom, these trees have clouds of snow-white flowers in early spring. They’re best known for their rich, inky, dark fruits known as sloes.

Why sponsor a Tiny Forest tree?

All sponsored trees are planted as part of the Earthwatch Europe Tiny Forest programme. Your support will help us continue to grow the network of Tiny Forests across the UK. They reconnect people with nature, tackle the impacts of climate change and create homes for wildlife.

Your tree will be in safe hands. Local Tree Keeper volunteers look after their Tiny Forests as they grow. In fact, Tiny Forests grow much faster than conventional tree planting methods. After the first couple of years, the tree canopy closes. This means they require less maintenance and the Tiny Forest becomes a thriving ecosystem like a natural woodland.

So champion a Tiny Forest tree and give a unique and personalised gift that gives back!
