Earthwatch Europe and Surfers Against Sewage team up for Teach Earth residential

We’re excited to be teaming up with Surfers Against Sewage to offer a new, fully funded Teach Earth residential for UK teachers and educators this summer.

Taking place from 12–14 June 2026 on the beautiful Gower Peninsula, this special edition of Teach Earth: From Source to Sea brings together two organisations that care deeply about the future of our waterways and oceans.

The residential weekend combines Earthwatch Europe’s experience in environmental education with Surfers Against Sewage’s inspiring work to protect the UK’s waters. The programme is carefully designed by experts to give teachers ideas and practical tools to bring environmental topics to life in and outside the classroom.

Over the course of the weekend, participants will get stuck into hands-on outdoor learning and explore key topics like climate change and biodiversity. It’s also an opportunity to share ideas with others who are passionate about helping young people connect with nature.

The residential is open to teachers, teaching assistants, trainee teachers and informal educators from across the UK. Thanks to the partnership, places are fully funded, covering accommodation, food and training making it easier for more people to take part.

This is about giving UK teachers and educators the support and confidence to inspire the next generation to care about and support the environment.
