Great UK WaterBlitz – share your story!
Thank you for taking part in the Great UK WaterBlitz! With your vital data, we are forming a clearer picture of freshwater health. These events run every spring and autumn, as part of our ongoing FreshWater Watch water quality monitoring programme.
By sharing your story, you help us to inspire more people to participate and to continue the fight for healthy fresh water.
Where will your story be shared?
We are looking for photos and short videos showing yourself and any other people (or four-legged friends) whilst out doing water testing. Our form below also asks you to answer a few questions about your WaterBlitz experience.
Your story will be shared on our public-facing digital channels:
Blogs on our website, social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, LinkedIn, and stories in our Great UK WaterBlitz report.
We occasionally also share this content with journalists, funders, and partners who support the Great UK WaterBlitz.

How to send us your story
You can tell us about your WaterBlitz experience using the form below, or you can send us an email. For any questions or queries about sharing your stories, or if you experience any problems using the form below, please email us.
A few things to keep in mind…
Please tell us about your photos, including where you tested and who you were with. Where possible, please ensure that image file names are saved as: Your Name – Name of Waterbody – Location (For example: “Maria Murray – River Thames – London”). If there are other people in your pictures or videos, please make sure that they are also happy to appear on our digital channels.

Support the Great UK WaterBlitz
It costs £6 for each water testing kit used in the Great UK WaterBlitz and we rely on voluntary donations to support our work. Every donation means that we can test more waterbodies in more locations across the UK. Please donate to make the Great UK WaterBlitz as big as possible.
