Geoff Lane (Vice-Chair, elected to the Board in 2015), was until June 2019 a Partner with PwC, with responsibility for their work on sustainability and climate change issues. He was part of a team of 8 partners and over a hundred full-time staff in the UK working on a range of sustainable development, climate change and corporate responsibility related projects for major public and private sector clients. During his 30 years with PwC he worked in over 50 countries around the world and also had a range of internal management responsibilities in addition to his client facing role, in particular relating to People management and development.
Geoff also represented PwC at a senior level in a number of external organisations. He was Liaison Delegate at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development for 15 years, a member of the advisory group of HRH The Prince of Wales Accounting for Sustainability Initiative, and a member of the Business in the Community Environment Leadership team.
Prior to joining PwC Geoff was Head of Environmental Policy at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI). He was with the CBI for five years, where he had responsibility for formulating and promoting CBI policy on environmental issues in the UK and internationally.
Geoff has a degree in Biology and a Masters degree in Environmental Technology.
