Beth is a Research Assistant at Earthwatch on the Climate Proof Cities Programme.
Beth received a BSc in Biology from Leeds University (2016) and an MSc in Conservation Biology from the University of Lund, Sweden (2019), with her Masters research focusing on bumblebees and their provision of ecosystem services during extreme weather events.
Beth’s previous roles have included working as a research intern at Estación Biológica de Doñana (Spain), on projects associated with human and large-carnivore conflicts, and as a fieldwork assistant at the University of Lund (Sweden) performing floral and bee biodiversity surveys.
Beth works as a research intern at Earthwatch on the Climate Proof Cities programme. She has helped deliver the research aspect of the HSBC Sustainable Training Program (STP). This involved citizen scientists in investigating nature-based solutions in urban areas. She continues to work on this project, contributing to the analysis of data and preparing for the dissemination of findings. Beth is inspired by opportunities to engage with people from diverse backgrounds, but who share a common focus of improving the environment that we live in.
