Andrew has long been interested in the natural world. As a father of three, with a long commute to his accounting job in the City, he often had to put his career before travel opportunities.
Earthwatch expeditions have changed that. In 2012, Andrew joined the expedition, 'Blazing the Biodiversity Trail' in Brazil. His experiences inspired him to study animals of Malawi in the Majete Wildlife Reserve two years later.
“Earthwatch plays such an important role by linking willing volunteers to important environmental causes. They make it convenient to find an interesting trip and one where you know your contribution will make a difference. It feels like a balanced way to travel, where you are doing some good to help restore the planet.”
