Statement on COVID-19 - updated 24 March 2020

Like all organisations, Earthwatch Europe has been thinking very carefully about the best way to fulfil our mission, whilst keeping everyone safe and well, in these challenging times.

In the light of the latest government guidance, we’ve decided the following:

  1. Staff are working from home until further notice. If you need to get in touch with us, please email. Our general email address is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  2. We’ve cancelled all outdoor activities, as well as events that involve international travel.
  3. If we can’t find online alternatives to the indoor events and activities we had planned between now and the end of April, we’ll cancel or postpone them until later in the year. We’ll be in touch with anyone who has already signed up for these activities with the relevant information, and you can check our website for the latest news:

This means the following for our planned events:

Our public debate Nature and the City: Tackling the Climate Crisis has been postponed until further notice.

All Naturehood drop-in sessions and face-to-face activities are cancelled until further notice.

The FreshWater Watch WaterBlitz has been postponed until autumn 2020.

If new guidance is issued by the government we will amend our own approach accordingly and will update this webpage to reflect that.
